REQUIREMENTS : National Senior Certificate. An appropriate NQF level 8 qualification in
Agriculture as recognized by SAQA. Compulsory registration with SACNASP.
At least three years’ experience in the field of Extension and Advisory Services.
A valid driving license. Candidates will be subjected to a competency
assessment. Knowledge of Agriculture Extension Methodology and Project
Planning. Planning and organizing skills. Change management skills. Conflict
management. Customer focus and responsiveness. Communication skills,
presentation skills and interpersonal skills. Computer skills.

DUTIES : Coordinate the implementation of all strategic agricultural and rural
development programmes. Render scientific and technical agricultural
extension services to internal and external clients. Coordinate support and
development of research and training activities. Ensure service delivery
through appropriate utilization of ICT tools/ systems. Perform administrative
and related functions. Manage the allocated resources in line with legislative
and departmental policy directives and comply with corporate governance and
planning imperatives. Maintain high standards by ensuring that the team /
section produces excellent work in terms of quality / quantity and timeliness.
Resolve problems of motivation and control with minimum guidance from
manager. Delegate functions to staff based on individual potential. Provide the
necessary guidance and support to other staff members with and afford staff
adequate training and development opportunities. Management of assets.
